Beer on the Pier is a tiny independent bar set in one of the wooden huts on Herne Bay Pier. Its unusual setting makes it one of the most distinctive stops in the town, with local beer and cider served right beside the sea.
Inside is very small and cosy, with seating packed carefully into the hut and windows looking out across the pier. More seating is available outside in the shared pier area, making the sea views a big part of the experience.
Beer: 3 changing cask ales, including beers from small local breweries such as Goody Ales, plus draught cider.
Opening: Mon–Fri 12:00–17:00; Sat–Sun 11:30–17:30. CAMRA advises checking first as hours can vary, especially in winter.

The bar is on Herne Bay Pier, just off Central Parade. It is an easy walk from the town centre and bus stops, with Herne Bay railway station further inland.
