Firkin Frog is a long-established micropub on Station Road. The layout has changed over time, including the bar moving into the area once used for the cold room, but it remains centred around changing cask ale and cider.
Inside, the room is friendly and compact, with comfortable furniture and a smaller snug towards the rear. The bar now sits where the former cellar viewing area was, with cask ale served by handpump rather than directly by gravity.
Beer: 3 changing cask ales, with Goody Ales regularly represented, plus real cider.
Opening: Mon closed; Tue–Thu 15:00–21:00; Fri 12:00–22:00; Sat 13:00–22:00; Sun 13:00–19:00.
