Hoptimist is an independent taproom and bar close to Dover town centre. The premises previously traded as Pier Three and later Mash Tun before taking on the current name, with a strong focus on Kent breweries and modern independent beer.
Inside, there is relaxed seating around the bar and towards the rear, with a small enclosed patio behind the pub. The room feels modern without losing the compact independent-bar character.
Beer: 6 changing cask ales currently listed, alongside real cider and modern craft beer. Kent breweries feature heavily.
Opening: Mon 14:00–20:00; Tue–Thu 13:00–21:00; Fri–Sat 13:00–22:30; Sun 12:00–18:00.
