Three Pillars opened in 2017 underneath the Masonic Hall, using a basement space that had once been the hall’s own bar. The unusual setting makes it very different from a typical shop-conversion micropub.
Inside, steep steps lead down to two carpeted front rooms with standard tables and chairs. Beyond them is the bar area with a bare brick floor, high tables and seating at the counter. Cask ale and cider are served by gravity from a temperature-controlled cellar room.
Beer: A changing cask range, often including Kent, Mighty Oak and Ramsgate beers, plus real cider.
Opening: Mon 15:00–19:00; Tue–Wed 12:00–20:00; Thu–Sat 12:00–22:00; Sun 12:00–16:00.
