Olde Thirsty Pig occupies one of Maidstone’s oldest buildings, thought to date from around 1430. The building is believed to have begun as a farmhouse connected with the Archbishop’s Palace estate, giving this small pub a much longer history than its present use.
Inside, huge timber beams, narrow stairs, sloping floors and little nooks give the pub plenty of character across two levels. The uneven old structure makes each part feel different, while a covered courtyard adds more seating outside.

The pub is on Knightrider Street, close to Maidstone’s town centre and the Archbishop’s Palace. Maidstone West and Maidstone East stations are both within walking distance.
