The Wheel Alehouse

The Wheel Alehouse opened in March 2013 in a former retail unit on Station Road. The pub developed around a strong craft beer focus and a distinctive nautical theme, making it one of Birchington’s longest-running small independent drinking spots.
Inside, nautical details run through the compact room, with seating on two levels and more space outside at the front. The upstairs area looks back through the pub, while the mix of wood and maritime decoration gives the room plenty of character.
Beer: CAMRA currently lists no cask ale. EcoKeg-style beers, cans and bottles are available.
Opening: Mon–Thu 17:00–21:00; Fri 17:00–22:00; Sat–Sun 12:00–22:00.

Getting to The Wheel Alehouse
The pub is on Station Road, around a 5-minute walk from Birchington-on-Sea railway station. Buses 8 and 8A stop in Birchington Square nearby.
