BUY ME A PINT
Day out visiting a few Micropubs around South Yorkshire, and up to Knaresborough for the evening to try out the “Track and Sleeper” bar on the station.
The White Lady
Very much an uphill climb from Conisborough station to get to The White Lady, situated in the small town centre. 2 Cask Ales on here along with a number of keg options. Great outdoor area, perfect for summer when the suns out.

The Terminus
Luckily the next bar was at the bottom of the hill. The Terminus is situated on a corner and is very traditional inside and had a great range of ales on. All 4 Cask ales were all local (Stancill, Jolly Boys, Imperial and Gorilla). I decided on a pint of The Bees Knees from very local Imperial Brewery based in Mexborough. Had a great chat with the owners here and will definitely be back.

The Rockingham Tap
Back on the train from Conisborough to Swinton now. Another bar at the top of a hill (this seems to be a theme today). The Rockingham Tap is owned by Gorilla Brewery. Only one hand pull cask ale here (which was being changed when I visited) but a great selection of Keg ales and Bottles. Went for the Thornbridge – Green Mountain in the end. Ive had this before and its always very refreshing.

The Corner Tap
Back on the train to Goldthorpe next to visit The Corner Tap. Around a 10 minute walk from the station, this small bar seemed busy when I walked in. Served 3 Cask Ales (2 from Ossett Brewery and 1 from Titanic). Always enjoy a nice pint of White Rat so went with this. Also had a good range of keg beers available. Inside seemed very nicely done out with a great outdoor seating area aswell.

The Track and Sleeper
Bit of a distance now on the train from Goldthorpe to Leeds and change onto another service to Knaresborough. The Track and Sleeper is on the platform on Knaresborough Station and has won awards for the design. Its run by Gorilla Brewery (Mexborough Based) and features their cask beers, Thornbridge and Guest keg beers and a range of bottles. While I was there I sampled Vanilla Gorilla, Orang-A-Tang, Silverback Blonde and Bit’ter Meccie – all from Gorilla Brewery.
