BUY ME A PINT

Rainy and dull morning, headed onto the front to catch the Number 11 bus to St Annes on Sea

The Pier Inn

After some dinner at The Trawl Boat Inn, headed around to The Pier Inn, recently opened a couple of weeks ago. 5 Cask Lines, 1 Hand Pull Cider and a number of Keg Lines. Really nicely done out inside, clean and refreshing look.

Number Fifteen

Next onto Number Fifteen, a pub in the Good Beer Guide 2022. Good selection of cask ales and ciders on here.

Interestingly this used to be an old Lloyds Bank. You can still see the logo on the windows. Some internal photos.

No.10 Ale House

Round the corner to No.10 Alehouse (they have another one in Blackpool). Couple of Cask Ales and a Cider on today. Went for the Spitting Feathers beer (a Chester brewery)

The Hop Shoppe

Just around the corner from No.10 is The Hop Shoppe, opening around 6 weeks ago. 4 Cask, 5 Keg and a wide range of bottles and cans to choose from to drink in or takeaway. Great layout inside with hops over the ceiling.

Started on the Chaff by Farm Yard Brew Co and finished on the Kir Royal – Raspberry in a bottle from Vault City

Keg N Cask

Straight over the road from The Hop Shoppe, Keg N Cask. Serving 6 Cask Ales, 2 Ciders and Keg ABK among others. Opens 4pm Mon-Thurs and 3pm Fri-Sun. Nice and spacious inside. I went for the Eureka from Lancaster Brewery – Golden Ale with hints of tropical fruits at 4.1%.

Interestingly the bar has a Blue Plaque on the front of the pub. Known as Alpha House, it was built in 1875 and was the first brick house in the new town. It was the Post Office from 1876-1882 then was a shop.

Headed back on the bus to Blackpool next after visiting all the bars in St Annes on Sea. Number 7 bus all the way through.

Rose and Crown

Read a while ago that the Rose and Crown was now owned by West Coast Rock Brewery (owners of the brilliant 1887 Brew House). Had one of their beers on here, incidentally one id not had before “Wonky Donkey” a Hoppy IPA at 5% ABV.

The Washington

Just up the road is the Greene King pub – The Washington. Always busy and a great range of real ales on here (rather than the usual Greene King IPA like a lot). 5 Ales on and 2 coming soon. Plucked for Bradfield Brewery – Blushed. Ive seen this advertised as a Strawberry Beer. It didn’t dissapoint, it was like a strawberry biscuity flavour but not overpowering.

Cask and Tap

Revisit to this great Micropub. Always has a great selection of real ales and today wasnt an exception. Managed to have the Wily Fox, Blackedge and Northern Monkey ales.

Quick walk back from here to Blackpool North Station to catch my train back to Leeds.
