11/06/22 – Keighley and Doncaster Station

After a morning on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railways diesel gala, a quick walk around to Wishbone Brewery who have a tap open day today!

Wishbone Brewery

Based in an industrial unit about a 10 minute walk away from Keighley Railway station is Wishbone Brewery. They have tap open days (usually once a month), and details can be found on Facebook.

A great looking setup with chairs and tables made out of barrels and pallets with the bar in the corner. Also has a food vendor when its open.

A great line up of 6 Cask beers with varying styles aswell as a number of keg taps. Went with “Two Lapels”, a delicious American Session Pale Ale.

Goose Eye Brewery Tap

A quick train journey now from Keighley to Crossflats, and less than a 5 minute walk from the station to Goose Eye Brewery Tap, based on a small industrial estate.

A choice of 6 cask ales ok here, ranging from pale to strong and dark. One of the beers with a collaboration with Ossett Brewery. Went with “Spring Wells” and “Pretty Fly for a Goose Eye”, both pales with the latter being the collaboration beer.

The Draughtsman Alehouze

Last call of the day was to The Draughtsman Alehouse in Doncaster. Located on Platform 3B on Doncaster Railway Station

Always a great range of beers available here – 3 Cask, 7 Keg and a wide range of cans and bottles. Something to suit everyone. Had a brilliant sour from Hudson Valley at 8%.
