About Blackpool North
Blackpool North is the town’s main railway station and the terminus for services arriving from Preston and destinations further afield. The present station dates from the 1970s, replacing the older Talbot Road station. In June 2024, trams returned to the station area for the first time in more than 60 years when the Talbot Road extension opened, creating a direct interchange between rail and the Blackpool Tramway.
