The Shipwreck Brewhouse is a place that’s become a firm favourite with locals. It opened in May 2020 and has built a strong following ever since. Set inside a lovely old art-deco building on Victoria Road West, it’s the kind of spot that feels easy to settle into. You can pop in for breakfast, lunch, or just a slice of cake, and there’s always a great choice of real ales and craft beers on offer. They put a lot of focus on local breweries, and even introduced their own Mythic Coast ales in 2021, inspired by artwork from the nearby coastline.
Inside, it feels warm and welcoming, with a mix of rustic and coastal touches that give it plenty of character. Soft lighting, greenery and little nautical details add to the charm, while there’s comfortable seating at the front and a cosy spot out back in “The Cabin,” with its wood panelling, barrel tables and relaxed feel. There’s also extra space outside, from the covered rear area with painted benches and string lights to the sunny front terrace. It’s not a big place, but it’s laid out in a way that feels easy and comfortable, whether you’re meeting friends or just settling in for a quiet pint.
Drink Offerings – choice of 5 cask ales, and a selection of keg beers and lagers. Includes some of their own cask beers “Mythic Coast” range that are brewed in Poulton-le-Fylde.
