St Anne’s-on-the-Sea
St Anne’s-on-the-Sea is a compact coastal stop on the South Fylde Line. All four featured pubs are in or close to the town centre, with St Annes-on-the-Sea railway station, the main bus stops, the square and the pier all within an easy walk.
Getting to St Anne’s
Train: St Annes-on-the-Sea railway station is on the South Fylde Line, with Northern services linking Preston and Blackpool South. The featured pubs are all a short walk from the station.
Bus: Services 7, 10 and 11 link St Anne’s with Blackpool and other parts of the Fylde Coast. The 68, 76 and 78 also serve the town, giving useful links towards Preston, Kirkham, Lytham, Great Eccleston and surrounding areas.

About St Anne’s-on-the-Sea
St Anne’s-on-the-Sea was largely developed from the 1870s, when the St Anne’s Land and Building Company began laying out the new resort around what became the town centre. Before then, much of the area was sand dunes, fields and farms known as Heyhouses. The pier opened in 1885 and became one of the town’s best-known landmarks. Today St Anne’s is centred around the square and St Anne’s Road West, with its beach, pier, gardens and wide promenade close by.
