About Landywood

Landywood forms part of the Great Wyrley area in South Staffordshire. The Landywood name is recorded from the 17th century, although Landywood Farm has much earlier origins, with parts dating to the early 16th century. The surrounding area later grew with coal mining, brickworks and other local industries, while the station now gives it a useful direct link along the Chase Line.
