Stocksmoor is a small village in West Yorkshire, England, located about 6 miles southeast of Huddersfield. It sits between Shepley and Brockholes and is part of the Kirklees district. The village has a railway station on the Penistone Line, offering direct trains to Huddersfield and Sheffield. Stocksmoor remained a quiet farming and quarrying community even after the railway arrived in 1850.

The Clothiers Arms is a traditional country pub located in the village of Stocksmoor. Situated just off the railway station platform, it offers easy access for visitors. The pub features two bars and a dining room with low ceilings and thick stone walls, creating a cosy atmosphere. A large conservatory hosts tapas-style dining, while the rest of the pub maintains a classic village feel. Outside, there’s a spacious deck area and a children’s play area, making it family-friendly.
