Banks Ale & Wine House is set in an old bank building on Northdown Road in Cliftonville. The building’s been around since the early 1900s and has a lot of history tied to the area. In 2018, it got a new lease on life when it was turned into a cosy spot for ale and wine lovers. They kept the original feel while creating a welcoming place for locals and visitors. Since then, it’s become a favourite in the area.

Inside you’ll find a cosy, laid-back feel that feels like a perfect spot to chill with friends. The space has a cool mix of old-school charm from its bank days and a modern touch that makes it inviting. There are low tables and comfy chairs scattered around, great for relaxing or catching up over a pint. The walls are decorated with breweriana including classic beer signs and memorabilia that add character and a nod to beer lovers. Overall, it’s warm, welcoming, and has a friendly local pub feel.
