The Harbour Arms sits on Margate’s historic stone pier, originally built in the early 1800s to protect the harbour after storm damage. The building itself was once used by local fishermen and traders, and its spot at the end of the harbour wall offers sweeping views of the sea. In recent years, it’s been transformed into a small, welcoming space with a relaxed vibe and one of the best sunset views in town. Its name is a playful nod to both its location and history, making it a favourite stop for locals and visitors alike.
Inside you’ll find a cosy, laid-back feel that feels like a perfect spot to chill with friends. The space has a cool mix of old-school charm from its bank days and a modern touch that makes it inviting. There are low tables and comfy chairs scattered around, great for relaxing or catching up over a pint. The walls are decorated with breweriana including classic beer signs and memorabilia that add character and a nod to beer lovers. Overall, it’s warm, welcoming, and has a friendly local pub feel.
