Xylo Brewing started in 2018 and began pouring beer in summer 2019, right by the sea in Margate, Kent. Founded by friends Neil Wright and Ben Atkins, they set up a small brew kit in the cellar of their High Street taproom. They focus on fresh, easy-drinking beers—nothing too heavy, and no cask ales. Everything is served on keg or canned right there on-site. Their beers are brewed to be light, flavourful, and perfect for sipping by the beach. Still independent and going strong, Xylo has become a go-to spot for great beer and laid-back vibes on the coast.

The taproom is cosy, laid-back, and full of seaside charm. Tucked on Margate seafront, it’s got big windows letting in loads of natural light and a relaxed, stripped-back vibe. Think wooden benches, tiled walls, and a clear view of the tanks in the cellar below. There’s always a fresh lineup of beers on tap, often poured straight from the tanks. It’s the kind of place where you can relax with mates, catch some sun, and enjoy a pint with sea air in your lungs. No fuss, just good beer, good tunes, and a welcoming, community feel.
