Morecambe

Back to The Bay Micropub Trail Homepage

Morecambe was once a quiet fishing village on the edge of Morecambe Bay, but in the Victorian era it boomed as a seaside resort when people from the north came for the fresh air and wide sandy shores. It became famous for its promenade, traditional seaside fun and stunning bay views, and today still charms visitors with its relaxed seaside atmosphere and artsy character.
