Taps on the Green is a relaxed Carnforth micropub with a clear recent history. Formerly known as the Cross Keys, it closed for a time before reopening on 26 July 2019 following a refit. Today it’s closely linked with Q Brew, serving as the brewery’s tap house and focusing on their own locally brewed real ales, alongside a small selection of guest beers. While much of its earlier past is lightly documented, the pub’s modern character reflects the rise of small independent breweries and the micropub movement.

Taps on the Green has a small, welcoming interior that’s all about beer and easy conversation. It’s open-plan and uncluttered, with simple wooden tables, bench seating, and stools that make it easy to chat with whoever’s nearby. The bar runs along one wall, with hand-pulled pumps as the main focus. The look is clean and modern rather than themed, keeping things relaxed and informal. Front windows let in plenty of daylight, while evenings feel cosy without being cramped. Overall, it has the friendly, laid-back feel of a proper micropub, designed for lingering over a pint and good company inside here.

On the bar a selection of 5 cask ales along with a number of keg options to choose from.
