Tide & Tap opened in 2025 in the former Blue Mountain Restaurant on Marine Road East. The restaurant had been a familiar part of the seafront before closing in August 2024, and the building was then given a new use as a micropub. Its position facing Morecambe Bay gives it a strong link with the promenade and the changing mix of independent businesses along this stretch of the town.
Inside, it is light and open, with large front windows looking towards the bay. Some stained glass from the building’s previous use remains, while the seating is a mix of chairs and tables spread across the room. The old fireplace has been worked into the bar area, giving the otherwise modern interior an unusual feature.
