The Oxbow

The Oxbow

The Oxbow is the Woodhouse stop on the Sheffield to Retford Rail Ale Trail, around an eight-minute walk from the station on Furnace Lane. The micropub opened in 2020 and normally serves three changing cask ales alongside keg beer and other choices. Its covered front seating also gives the pub useful extra space outside.

About Woodhouse

Woodhouse lies in the south-east of Sheffield and developed from an older farming village into a community shaped by nearby industry and mining. The railway station sits on the line east from Sheffield towards Worksop and Retford, making it a useful first stop after leaving the city. The Oxbow is a short walk away on Furnace Lane.
