Kirkham, officially referred to as Kirkham-in-Amounderness, is a market town situated equidistantly between Preston and Blackpool. It is conveniently accessible by both bus and train.

For train travel, passengers should disembark at Kirkham and Wesham Railway Station, which is served by trains from both Blackpool North and South Stations. The station is approximately a 14-minute walk from the town centre.

For bus services, the Number 76 route operates from Blackpool Abingdon Street to St Annes Square, passing through Poulton-le-Fylde, Kirkham, Warton, and Lytham Square. The Number 78 bus runs from Great Eccleston to St Annes Square, also stopping at Wesham, Kirkham, Warton, Lytham, and Ansdell. Additionally, the Number 75 service connects Fleetwood to Preston, with stops including Thornton, Cleveleys, Poulton-Le-Fylde, and Kirkham.
