North Pier

Blackpool features three piers along its coastline, with North Pier being the oldest and the longest of the trio. Constructed in the 1860s by Eugenius Birch, it officially opened on May 21, 1863, despite the fact that the last 50 yards were not yet finished. Initially designed as a promenade, the pier had to adapt to competition by incorporating various attractions, including theatres, bars, and additional entertainment options.
