A long weekend staying with friends in Blackpool to see the yearly “Blackpool Air Show” on the seafront. Visited some old favourites pub wise with the addition of a few new pubs. Started with Albert’s Ale Micropub, onto No 10 Alehouse and finished at the Saddle Inn Thursday. Friday dropped into CASK Micropub in Layton. Saturday started with Abingdon Street Market for the Farm Yard Beers Bar, and onto Shickers Micropub. Sunday visited CASK Micropub in Bispham and Cask and Tap in the centre.

11/08/23 – Preston
A day out to Preston. A city packed full of great pubs and small bars so lots of choice. Preston itself is known for a couple of quirky features including being home to the tallest spire of any parish church in England to having the longest continuous row of red telephone boxes
11/02/23 – Lancaster and Carnforth
A day out booked with Northern Rails ticket sale for £4.50 return to Lancaster. A visit to the new Tite & Locke bar on Lancaster Train Station followed by some of the many establishments in the city, followed by a call into Carnforth to visit The Snug and Taps on the Green Micropubs.
14/01/23 – Clitheroe, Darwen, Blackburn and Burnley
Starting in Clitheroe at Bowland Brewery tap along with a number of other pubs in Clitheroe, followed by Darwen for The Hopstar Brewery Tap and 12 Steps Brewery Pub, and finishing off with Micropubs in Blackburn and Burnley.
28/10/22 – Freckleton
A ride out from Blackpool to Freckleton to visit a Micropub “The Vestry Taproom”. The village of Freckleton is near to BAE Warton Airfield and was victim to an air disaster in 1944.
26/09/22 – Fleetwood
After taking the Fleetwood Ferry over from Knott End, an afternoon exploring some of the real ale pubs in Fleetwood before dropping into a Micropub in Blackpool before my train home.
25/09/22 – Blackpool and Fleetwood
A day out visiting a new Micropub in Fleetwood followed by a few bars around the Pleasure Beach/Airport end of Blackpool (after some heritage trams during the day for the Anniversary Weekend)
24/09/22 – Blackpool Real Ale Tour (on a Tram)
Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours during 2022 offered a Real Ale Tour on board a Heritage Tram. Enjoy a Blackpool Ale on board a Blackpool Tram, definitely something different.
23/09/22 – Kirkham, Poulton and Blackpool
A day out starting in Cleveleys and heading back into Blackpool before an evening out around Kirkham and Poulton-le-Flyde, visiting some great micropubs and local bars.
